QUESTIONS · ANSWERED

Common questions about trenchless work.

What's the difference between trenchless and open-cut?

Trenchless methods — directional boring, missile boring, pipe bursting — install lines underground from small pits, so we don't trench the whole run. Open-cut digs the full length. We pick whichever protects your property and fits the job, and tell you which during the estimate.

Will you tear up my driveway or lawn?

Usually not. A bore crosses under driveways, walks, and landscaping from two small pits. Where open-cut is the right call, we restore the surface — soil, gravel, or sod — once the work is in.

Do you call 811 before digging?

Every time. We file the 811 locate, wait for utilities to be marked, and hand-dig around marked lines. Locate-before-dig isn't optional on our jobs.

Can you replace a sewer line without digging up the whole yard?

Often, yes. We camera the lateral first, then use trenchless pipe bursting where the run allows — pulling new pipe along the old path. Where it doesn't, we dig, replace, and restore after.

Are estimates free?

Yes — site visit, utility-locate planning, and an itemized estimate are free, back to you within 48 hours. We don't quote underground work without seeing the site.
